Summary

Job Description: Utilize AutoCAD to design and produce safe, detailed formwork drawings for concrete structures. Prior experience in formwork design is required, including understanding capacities, pressures, tie loads, and wood form design. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; 3D modeling experience is preferred. Strong skills in reading plans, math, time management, and critical thinking are necessary.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Design safe, efficient formwork for construction teams.
2. Draft concrete structures from contract drawings.
3. Identify and correct inconsistencies in drawings.
4. Create 3D models of complex structures.
5. Collaborate with site supervision to solve problems and optimize formwork.
6. Coordinate with Form Shop during assembly.
7. Calculate pressures, shoring, and tie loads.

Education and Experience

• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Previous formwork design experience.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling is a plus.
• Broad understanding of construction processes.
