Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. values top-quality pharmaceuticals. As a Formulation Technician II, support Drug Product Division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure pharmaceutical products are manufactured in strict accordance with area SOPs and current cGMP standards.
• Verify and document production activities meticulously in batch records, logbooks, and controlled forms.
• Perform assembly, disassembly, and operation of manufacturing equipment such as fillers, cappers, freeze dryers, tray loaders, vial washers, stopper processors, sterilizers, filter integrity testers, and more.
• Assist with the initial and subsequent validation of filling equipment and processes.
• Maintain and clean classified areas, including the aseptic core, to ensure a pristine environment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Engage in On the Job (OJT) training programs, prioritize safety, and participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Train and mentor new employees to foster a knowledgeable and skilled workforce.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Biowork certificate or Technical degree preferred), with 2 years of regulated manufacturing experience, or
• Associate's degree in Science, Engineering, or similar field with 1 year of experience, or
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Science, Engineering, or similar field with no experience required.

• General mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge.
• Knowledge of aseptic cleaning, aseptic gowning techniques, and good documentation practices.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, basic math skills, and computer proficiency.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and move weights of 25-50 pounds, occasionally pushing and pulling 50-100+ pounds.
