Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Formulation Scientist for our Milwaukee, WI site. You will perform organic chemical reactions/formulations and manufacturing activities in a GMP/ISO-regulated environment, ensuring quality and safety.

This on-site role emphasizes documentation, process control, and cross-functional teamwork to deliver compliant products. Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree and the ability to work independently or with teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with no prior experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturing, formulation development, or related laboratory work.
• Experience following controlled procedures, SOPs, documentation requirements, quality standards preferably in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in documentation practices and batch record completion.
• Experience with quality systems and regulatory compliance (GMP, ISO).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and laboratory software systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare organic chemical reactions/formulations according to approved manufacturing protocols.
• Support batch production activities in regulated environments.
• Complete batch records, manufacturing documentation, and quality records accurately.
• Identify process deviations, investigate issues, and elevate appropriately.
• Follow GMP, ISO, SOP, safety, and quality requirements.
• Operate laboratory and manufacturing equipment safely and effectively following assigned SOPs.
• Support process optimization and operational excellence initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration with Quality, Operations, Manufacturing, and Technical teams.
