Job summary

Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Research Associate, Formulation Development for a contract‑to‑hire position in San Diego, CA. The role supports small molecule formulation development, API testing, and HPV work using HPLC and UV platforms under a Senior Chemist.

You will perform day‑to‑day lab support, design experiments, and help prepare development reports and CMC documentation, with GDP‑compliant recordkeeping in Benchling.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• 2+ years in pharmaceutical industry (Research Associate) or 3+ years (Senior RA).
• Experience with HPLC (HPLC-UV) – Agilent platform preferred.
• GDP/Good Documentation Practices experience required.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day lab support for Formulation Development, including sample prep and HPLC-UV analysis.
• Design, execute and interpret experiments under Senior Chemist guidance.
• Assist in development and characterization of small molecule formulations (solubility, stability, in vitro release).
• Operate and maintain Agilent HPLC (HPLC-UV) and related lab instrumentation; other platforms a plus.
• Document experimental design and results per GDP in Benchling; compile data into reports.
