Job summary

Polynt Composites USA seeks a Chemist to advance development, commercialization, and industrialization of new products in a laboratory setting. Under supervision, you will prepare formulations and prototypes, test articles using analyses and mechanical testing, and support existing technologies and plant processes with a focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities include planning experiments, writing technical reports, and collaborating with manufacturing sites to transfer scale-up processes

Qualifications

• Minimum of a BS in Chemistry or related science.
• 3-5 years’ experience with composites and formulation preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in end use formulation and evaluation.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work effectively.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of experimental design and statistical data analysis techniques preferred.
• Open minded, creative, innovative and optimistic.

Responsibilities

• Health and Safety: perform work in accordance with the CHP and ensure safety for self and team.
• Lab/Project Work: conduct lab/project work related to product/process development, plant support, chemical analyses and mechanical testing; maintain lab equipment and inventory.
• Plan experiments, set schedules based on priorities, write technical reports and presentations.
• Polynt Plant Support: provide technical support to manufacturing sites, assist with batch adjustments, in-country transfers and scale-up.
• Specialization and Organizational Knowledge: develop knowledge of a chemistry area, interact with other groups, and use SAP/SharePoint to access methods and documents.
