Job summary

Ardagh Glass Ltd. is seeking a qualified professional in Indiana to support high-volume glass manufacturing operations, focusing on forming processes and equipment maintenance. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely record-keeping within a heavy industrial setting.

Ideal candidates will have strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work non-standard hours. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of experience in glass manufacturing with emphasis on forming.
• Prior experience with mold repair, machine repair, and job changes.
• Proficient organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial, high-risk environment.
• Ability to work outside of regular work hours.
• Ability to prioritize work and have a sense of urgency.
• Ability to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a proactive safety environment including good housekeeping and injury risk awareness.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and with other departments.
• Maintain timely and accurate records such as attendance, production, quality, training, and discipline.
• Monitor production efficiencies and quality and provide corrective action plans.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, with other departments, and with the employees; further, establish and develop labor relations utilizing sound management principles

Maintain timely and accurate records such as attendance, production, quality, training, and discipline

Monitor production efficiencies and quality regularly during the shift and provide corrective action plans with employees while maintaining accurate communications with appropriate departments

Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities

Minimum skills / qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Five (5) years of experience in glass manufacturing with an emphasis on the forming process

Prior experience with mold repair, machine repair, and job changes

Proficient organizational, analytical, and planning skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
