Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking an engineer to provide production support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will analyze processes, troubleshoot issues, and apply first-principles approaches to improve quality and cost.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, or Ceramic Engineering with at least 2 years in manufacturing.
• Strong data analysis skills; experience with Excel (pivot tables) and Access or similar.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on with equipment and interact with operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering-level production support to manufacturing operations.
• Solve process issues through data analysis and collaboration with SMEs.
• Provide engineering expertise for fundamental understanding of manufacturing issues.
• Follow structured problem-solving methods (Scientific Method, First Principles).
• Lead or support projects for cost reduction, equipment optimization, and new products.
