Job summary

Nichiha is seeking a Forming Operator for on-site work in Macon, GA. The role includes operating forming equipment, maintaining cleanlines, and following strict safety procedures. You will learn control systems to troubleshoot equipment and contribute to a safe, efficient production floor.

Job description

The following lists the principal activities associated with the position of Forming Operator.

• Adjust sensors to ensure proper operation
• Clean conveyor belts, line rollers, forming pit, trenches and other equipment.
• Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
• Clean forming and press area as needed.
• Learn Control Systems of various equipment to be able to operate and troubleshoot when required.

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:

SAFETY:

• Understand and follow all safety procedures
• Current on all safety trainings
• Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)
• Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas.
• Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures
• Complete General Plant Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and to push-pull up to 75lbs.
• Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.
• Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.
• Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
