Job summary

Stoughton Trailers is seeking a skilled manufacturing technician to safely operate robotics HMI controls, troubleshoot equipment, and support production schedules. You will collaborate with technicians, engineers, and supervisors to resolve issues, train new staff, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with tools, measuring devices, and production software, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • HMI operation/navigation skills desirable.

  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills regarding fixtures/clamps.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks safely and efficiently per company policy.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Navigate and operate HMI controls of robotic system.
  • Troubleshoot part fit-up and system function issues.
  • Communicate issues to Technical Support and Engineer as needed.
  • Provide status updates to Line Lead and Production Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team in pre- and post-line operations to address problems.
  • Assist preventive maintenance tasks and report issues to Management.
  • Train on operation of equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Lead or Production Supervisor.
  • Handle, operate and clear assigned manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment as needed.
  • Set up and operate machining centers.
  • Troubleshoot programming/functions and work with maintenance/engineer to resolve.
  • Work from blueprints.
  • Perform manufacturing and assembly tasks.
  • Conduct quality checks of parts and components.
  • Monitor production process and suggest improvements.
  • Support adherence to production schedules.
  • Improve production efficiency by adjusting machinery/settings.
  • Inspect machinery and production equipment; troubleshoot minor errors.
  • Perform minor repairs and report breakdowns promptly.
  • Maintain safe, clean work environment.
  • Train new employees and conduct training sessions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to complete production orders on time.
  • Comply with internal policies and industry regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate and highly productive manner according to company policy.

  • Follow company policies and procedures.

  • Navigate and operate HMI controls of robotic system.

  • Troubleshooting and solving part fit up and system function issues as they arise.



  • Communicate issues that require technical support with appropriate Technician and Engineer.

  • Communicate status with Line Lead and Production Supervisor.



  • Work with team members in pre and post line operations to communicate and address problems.

  • Facilitate operator preventive maintenance tasks as required and communicate any issues that are noted with Management and Maintenance.

  • Trains on operation of equipment

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Lead or Production Supervisor.



  • Responsible for handling, operating and clearing of the assigned manufacturing equipment.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment as necessary.

  • Setup and operate specified machining center.

  • Troubleshoot problems within programming and the functions of the machine or partner with maintenance or engineer to resolve the issue.

  • Work from blueprints.

  • Performing product manufacturing and assembly tasks as assigned

  • Conducting quality checks of parts and components

  • Monitoring product process and suggesting improvements.

  • Support adherence to the specified production schedule

  • Optimizing production efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings as needed

  • Inspecting machinery and production equipment and troubleshooting minor errors

  • Performing minor repairs and reporting breakdowns in a timely manner

  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

  • Training new employees Conducting training sessions for team members

  • Collaborating with other departments to complete production orders on time

  • Complying with internal policies and industry regulations

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements


  • Ability to work in standing positions during work shift.

  • Ability to repetitively lift, maneuver, and load parts up to 50lbs.

  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work overtime as required.

  • Ability to wear required PPE.
