Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months–1 year machine operator experience.
• Stand-up Lift / Forklift Certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Read and understand basic English.
• Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Experience in an assembly/production environment.

Responsibilities

• Place caps onto batteries according to battery type.
• Stack on/off from conveyors.
• Identify defects prior to filling with acid.
• Analyze correct battery direction during off bearing.
• Identify correct cables (jumpers) for each battery type.
• Demonstrate proper use of table lift during off bearing.
• Ensure correct marking on battery rack to aid maintenance.
• Display correct PPE usage.
• Perform general housekeeping.
• Meet all quality requirements.

Position Overview Formation Operator assures correct acid level and conduct a visual inspection for cosmetic defects.

Areas of Focus Formation Operator complies with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE. Additionally, Formation Operator understands & practice the Quality policy day to day.

Responsibilities Level I

• Place caps onto batteries according to battery type
• Perform the proper function of stacking on / off from conveyors
• Identify all defects prior to filling with acid (1st fill)
• Analyze the correct direction of the batteries during off bearing. (Understand correct polarity of batteries)
• Identify the correct cable (jumpers) to be placed on specific types of batteries
• Demonstrate proper use of table lift during off bearing
• Ensure correct marking on the battery rack to aid Circuit Tender
• Display correct use of PPE
• Perform general housekeeping
• Meets all quality requirements and standards
• Meets all production requirements

Basic Qualifications
