Job summary

Trojan Battery is seeking a Formation Operator in Sandersville, GA to ensure correct acid level, inspect cosmetic defects, and maintain safety and quality standards on the production floor.

The role involves stacking, cabling, marking, and operating table lifts, while following PPE guidelines and daily housekeeping to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year machine operator experience.
• Stand-up forklift certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Read and understand basic English.
• Perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Experience in an assembly/production environment.

Responsibilities

• Place caps onto batteries according to battery type.
• Perform the proper function of stacking on / off from conveyors.
• Identify all defects prior to filling with acid (1st fill).
• Analyze the correct direction of the batteries during off bearing. (Understand correct polarity of batteries).
• Identify the correct cable (jumpers) to be placed on specific types of batteries.
• Demonstrate proper use of table lift during off bearing.
• Ensure correct marking on the battery rack to aid Circuit Tender.
• Display correct use of PPE.
• Perform general housekeeping.
• Meets all quality requirements and standards.
• Meets all production requirements.
