Job summary

  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

Our team is passionate about advancing battery technology and energy storage systems that power industries and communities around the world.Your ImpactThis role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining battery formation and charging equipment to ensure batteries are properly charged, conditioned, and tested in accordance with production specifications. This role plays a critical part in supporting product quality, safety, and production efficiency within a high-volume lead-acid battery manufacturing environment.What You'll DoOperate, monitor, and maintain battery formation and charging equipment to ensure products meet established production specifications.Monitor charging cycles, voltages, temperatures, and process parameters to ensure proper battery formation and conditioning.Perform routine equipment inspections and identify potential operational, safety, or quality concerns.Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines to ensure consistent production performance.Accurately record production data, process information, and equipment performance metrics.Troubleshoot minor equipment and process issues and escalate concerns when necessary.Support production schedules by ensuring equipment is operating efficiently and product flows meet throughput requirements.Verify product quality throughout the formation process and report any defects, deviations, or non-conforming materials.Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.Work safely around industrial electrical systems, battery charging equipment, and manufacturing processes while adhering to all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.Assist with changeovers, adjustments, and other production-related activities as needed to support operational goals.What You'll BringHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or industrial experience preferred.Experience operating, monitoring, or troubleshooting production equipment is a plus.Familiarity with battery manufacturing, battery charging systems, industrial electrical systems, or automated production equipment preferred.Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and adherence to standard operating procedures.Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and report equipment or process issues.Ability to monitor production processes and maintain accurate records and documentation.Basic computer skills and the ability to learn production monitoring systems and data entry requirements.Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize quality concerns or process deviations.Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.Dependability, accountability, and a demonstrated commitment to attendance and reliability.Ability to adapt to changing production priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or alternative schedules as required to meet business needs.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely around industrial machinery and battery charging equipment.Must be authorized to work in the United States.
