Job summary

Orion Marine Group is seeking a Form Setter to build, erect and align forms for concrete structures and pier foundations at our Houston location. You will read blueprints, set anchor bolts, and help estimate concrete quantities and mixes while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires flexibility for longer shifts, weekend work as needed, and mentoring of other foundation employees. A strong focus on safety and teamwork is essential in our fast-paced projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in concrete structural construction, finishing concrete structures and pier foundations.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work in variable weather and site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Builds, erects and aligns forms for concrete structures and pier foundations using preformed forming systems.
• Sets anchor bolts for drilled pier foundations.
• Estimates concrete quantities and mixes.
• Interprets blueprints and reads survey stakes to calculate areas and volumes.
• Spreads concrete to specified depth and workable consistency.
• Perform rough leveling and shaping of concrete surfaces.
