Job summary

Gioia Concrete Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled Form Carpenter to build and install concrete forms for floors, walls, columns, tilt-walls and related structures. You will interpret drawings, prepare forms, and ensure precise placements on site.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, assembling forms, and maintaining safety on a fast-growing commercial/industrial team in Ohio. Training and leadership growth paths are offered along with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

General Description:

The Form Carpenteris responsible forperforming a variety of carpentry tasks associated with prepping, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete. Tasks include erecting and setting forms for concrete structures, buildings, and site work per specifications and drawings. This may include concrete tilt-wall forms and/or structural forms for columns, decks, elevator cores, parking garages, and other cast-in-place concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for the construction of concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated concrete slabs, elevator cores, stairways, etc.
• Measure, cut, and fabricate lumber and plywood; install form ties, walers, bracing, andblockouts
• Strip, clean, oil, and stack forms for reuse
• Interpret structural, civil, and architectural drawings todeterminelayout dimensions.
• Set, place, and erect forms to proper elevations and locations using a wide variety of materials and forming systems
• Verify accuracy of structures using tape measure, a plumb bob and/or carpenter’s level
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
• Observe andcomply withall safety policies and guidelines
• Assistwith concrete placement as needed

Requirements:

• Previoususe of concrete tools,equipmentand machines
• Current valid driver’s license and pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to work off-shift hours and overtime asrequired
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work at heights multiple levels above ground
• OSHA 10 certification preferred — training provided
