Job summary

IES Infrastructure is seeking a skilled Material Handler/Yard Jockey in Mount Joy, PA to join our team. This role involves forklift operation, yard management, and safe handling of materials to keep the shop and yard organized and stocked.

You will load/unload materials, operate overhead cranes, and coordinate with teammates to maintain efficiency and safety on site. A strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and communication is essential, with opportunities for shift variation and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven forklift operator experience.
• Experience moving material in a yard preferred.
• Safety awareness required.
• Ability to climb ladders and handle large pieces.

Responsibilities

• Unload steel materials from incoming/export vehicles.
• Operate overhead cranes and yard equipment.
• Properly block and secure loads to handle weight.
• Identify damages and report equipment or product issues.
• Transport materials to work areas and ensure secure transportation.
• Inspect machinery for safe operation and perform routine maintenance.
