Job summary

Abbott is hiring for a Forklift/Warehouse Utility at our Altavista, VA distribution center. This is a first-shift position within the Nutrition/Supply Chain area, involving receiving, loading, case-picking, barcoding, and palletizing tasks.

You will handle documentation, data entry, and warehouse organization, ensuring safety and compliance with FDA/OSHA policies. A high school diploma or GED is required, and base pay is $19.05 to $38.15 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Receiving Operations: Create accurate documentation, data entry, maintain databases, process inbound pallets.
• Loading, Unloading, Casepicking, Barcoding and Palletizer Operations: Safely perform tasks, document, ensure weight requirements, operate palletizer and shuttle.
• Shipping/Receiving Office Functions: Ensure accurate documentation, maintain databases with timely entries, sign BOLs with clerk.
• Store, pick or assemble raw materials, verify commodity numbers and lot numbers against packaging lists.
• Clean up finished goods warehouse areas.
• All other tasks as assigned by management to meet business needs.

This includes safely operating the palletizer equipment and shuttle wagon/switcher to meet business needs* **Shipping/Receiving Office Functions:** Assure all documentation is accurate, address people in a professional manner, assure all databases are accurately maintained with timely entries, assure BOL's are signed/dated by Common Carrier Driver and the Clerk during the shift* Store, pick or assemble raw materials in the warehouse, verifying the commodity number, quantity, release status, and lot number.
