Job summary

U-Haul is hiring a Warehouse Worker in Frederick, Maryland, offering hands-on forklift operation, loading/unloading cargo, and timely deliveries. You will assist customers, sell support items, and use online dispatch systems as part of daily tasks.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and adherence to vehicle regulations. U‑Haul provides education and a supportive, safety‑mocused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to comply with local, state and federal vehicular regulations while driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 8,000-lb forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
• Ensure timely delivery and provide customer assistance, including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems.
• Perform customer-ready inspections of U‑Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
• Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods.
• Ensure that the warehouse storage facility is clean, dry and secure.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University.
