Job summary

Americold Logistics LLC is seeking a warehouse equipment technician to perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and document maintenance tasks while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift maintenance training or related mechanic experience, and HazMat certification.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1 year forklift maintenance experience or specialized forklift maintenance/repair training, or 2 years other mechanic experience.
Complete assigned technical training and/or mechanical-electrical courses.
Complete HazMat training and maintain certification.
Basic computer skills for email, internet searches, and data entry.

Responsibilities

Inspect and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to OSHA standards.
Maintain batteries and chargers per OSHA standards.
Test and evaluate equipment performance with testing instruments.
Maintain tools and machinery in good condition and use equipment safely.
Test safety equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Keep preventive maintenance records in the CMMS system.
Perform housekeeping and keep the work area clean and organized.
Work flexible shifts and on-call as required.
