Americold is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment throughout the warehouse. You will troubleshoot, repair, and verify performance, while keeping accurate preventive maintenance records and conducting safety equipment tests to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year forklift maintenance experience or equivalent

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year forklift maintenance experience or specialized forklift training, or 2 years other mechanic experience.
Successfully complete assigned technical training and/or mechanical-electrical courses.
Complete HAZMAT training and maintain certification.
Basic computer skills for email, internet searches, and data entry.

Responsabilités

Inspect and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to meet OSHA standards.
Maintain batteries and chargers per OSHA standards.
Test, maintain, and evaluate equipment performance using testing instruments.
Maintain tools and machinery in good condition and use equipment as instructed.
Conduct tests of safety equipment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records in the maintenance management system.
Keep work area clean, organized, and perform housekeeping duties as required.
Work flexible shifts including on call.
