Job summary

Fraza & Vitan Equipment is seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to troubleshoot and repair heavy‑duty material handling equipment in fast‑paced field assignments across Michigan. You'll use diagnostic expertise across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to keep customer operations moving.

This role involves travel to customer sites daily, performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs, ensuring safety and compliance, and logging work clearly with branch dispatch.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment (electric, propane, and diesel).
• Strong diagnostic instincts and a safety-first mindset on the job.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the company truck.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize customer downtime
• Hit the road to various customer sites - every day brings a different machine and a new challenge
• Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and up to solid operating standards
• Log your service work accurately and communicate clearly with the branch dispatch team
