Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Technician to provide mobile repair service for material handling equipment across a defined territory in New Jersey.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures, perform scheduled maintenance under service contracts, and promote company image while supporting aftermarket sales. This role requires a valid driver's license, ability to use hand tools, and proficiency with basic computer tasks and ERP entry.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic fundamentals required.
• Valid driver's license with clean history.

JOB DESCRIPTION**Summary: **The Forklift Technician provides mobile repair service of material handling equipment to a select customer base within a given geographic territory.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities: **Diagnose & perform a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures or breakdowns within industry guidelines and profitable limits.Responsible for performing scheduled maintenance services to a select group of customers under service contract.Maintain customer relationship and document any unsafe conditions.Maintain appropriate types and levels of inventory to effectively service equipment in territory.Remain current with training and repair technology as scheduled through RNJ.Promote company image and products and assist with aftermarket sales of the same.Maintain service van and tools in safe working condition.Enter internal and external road/shop service billing into ERP system.Work Hours:Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm with a half hour lunch period.Overtime may be required to maintain the current workload.Requirements/Competencies:Basic aptitude in mechanical, electrical, & hydraulic disciplines.Driver’s license with clear history.Ability to work with specialized mechanical & basic hand tools.Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment.Ability to operate various electronic technical devices.Ability to complete all electronic paperwork within company guidelines.Ability to safely use certain chemicals & cleaners.Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.Clean professional appearance & wear complete company uniform** **including safety boots.**Education and/or Experience:A Degree or Certificate from a college or technical school; or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.**Language Skills: **Able to communicate effectively both verbally & in writing.Mathematical Skills:Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations.Company-Provided Equipment & BenefitsWe provide our employees with the tools and resources needed to successfully perform their job, including:Company-Provided Equipment:Company vanCompany gas cardCompany EZPassSelect company-provided tools and equipmentCompany laptopCompany cell phoneEmployee Benefits:Medical insuranceDental insuranceGuardian supplemental insurance optionsLife insurance401(k) retirement planPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to conform to a variety of physical working positions (i.e.: standing, kneeling, bending, lying etc.) and the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.We are an equal opportunity employer.
