Job summary

Eaton’s Fibrebond team in Minden, LA is seeking a Shipping Technician to operate forklifts and support building movements on site. The role includes lifting operations, cable hookups, and coordinating with spotters to ensure safety during lifts.

Responsibilities include directing lift moves, torquing bolts to specification, and preparing foam supports on trailers. Training and overtime are expected as part of this hands-on, field-based position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• No visa sponsorship or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT plans; not eligible for CPT/OPT etc.
• No relocation benefit; candidate must reside within 50 miles of Minden, LA; Active‑Duty Military exempt.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift and truck to move buildings on company grounds.
• Hook and unhook cables to buildings.
• Re-rig straddle lift and communicate with spotters via radio.
• Ensure bolts used in lifting are torqued to the proper degree.
• Spot and direct lifting operations to keep personnel clear.
• Place foam pieces on trailers for buildings to rest on.
