Fibrebond, an Eaton company, is seeking a Shipping Technician in Minden, LA. You will operate a forklift, move modular buildings, and coordinate lifting operations with team members on site.

The role requires OT eligibility, outdoor work in varying temperatures, and strong communication to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• No visa sponsorship is offered for this position; CPT/OPT/STEM OPT and similar programs are not supported.
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location; relocation not offered.
• Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographic area limitation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with spotters or other operators via radio to move buildings.
• Ensure all bolts used in lifting are torqued to the proper degree.
• Assist with spotting buildings and ensure all personnel are clear of the lifts when buildings are being transported.
• Assist in directing the straddle lift operator during building transport and lifts.
• Place foam pieces on trailers for buildings to rest on.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Shipping Technician to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA!

You will work an average of 54 hours per week (including OT) between 6 am - 4:30 pm.

There is overtime every other Saturday from 6 am - 2:30 pm.

The hourly range for this position is $16.50-$18.50 per hour.

What you’ll do:

The Shipping Technician operates a forklift to move telecommunications shelters, prison modules, and other building units within the facility They are responsible for directing movements of the straddle lift and communicate with other team members at the site verbally and using a radio to ensure safety of the team and product.

In this role, you will:

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience operating a forklift, overhead crane, or other industrial power vehicles.

Skills:

• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Ability to lift to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to ascend and descend from forklift/truck with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work outside in seasonal temperatures throughout the year.
• Strong communication skills.
