Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• 3–5 years related experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience repairing forklifts.
• Technical or mechanical training/certifications preferred.
• Possesses a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read service manuals and schematics.
• Able to use electrical diagnostic instruments and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyses and diagnoses equipment problems and breakdowns.
• Recommends the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems.
• Performs appropriate repairs or modifications to fix operating and performance issues.
• Follows scheduled maintenance procedures and policies.
• Documents each service call with required paperwork.
• Observes safety procedures and disposes of hazardous waste properly.
• Maintains company service vehicles and inventories.
