Job summary

Cosmo Cabinets in Eatonton, GA, is seeking a Receiving Clerk / Forklift Operator to handle inbound materials, inspect shipments, and stage items for production. You will ensure accurate records and timely material flow to keep fabrication on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required; certification preferred or able to obtain on hire.
• Experience handling large sheet goods and lumber preferred.
• Basic computer skills; ability to learn inventory/ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down/stand-up forklift to unload inbound trucks and pallets.
• Receive and inspect shipments against PO and packing slips; verify quantities and conditions.
• Document damaged or short shipments and initiate claims.
• Enter receipts into ERP system in a timely manner.
• Label, tag, and stage materials; maintain organized storage areas.
• Deliver materials to production departments as scheduled or requested.
• Rotate stock (FIFO) and assist with cycle counts and inventories.
• Maintain a clean, safe receiving dock and warehouse per 5S standards.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Break down packaging and manage recycling/disposal; assist shipping and other warehouse duties.
