Performance Foodservice is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and service material handling equipment and building systems at our Springfield, MA facility. You will perform preventive maintenance on forklifts, HVAC and refrigeration, and ensure safety standards are met.
The role requires 1 year of related maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work a Sunday–Thursday night shift from 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM. Competitive pay and benefits apply.
Under general supervision, performs the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scrubber, etc.). Maintains refrigeration systems, coolers, air compressors, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, general maintenance, repairs and installations on various equipment. Maintains the facilities, buildings and grounds according to a established preventative maintenance schedule and on 'as needed' basis. Observes all safety and regulatory standards. Ensures quality of work product while working in a efficient and timely manner. This position functions as a team member within the department and organization as required, and performs any duties assigned to best serve the Company.
Required Education:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
Required Experience:
1 Year maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance and general maintenance and repairs for large warehouse, fleet shop and office facilities.
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
