Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Atwater, CA is seeking a manufacturing associate with forklift and crane training potential. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and at least one year in manufacturing.

You will lift, stock, and package parts, operate forklift equipment, and support safety and quality initiatives. The position offers full-time employment with benefits starting day one, and overtime/weekend flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid Driver License.
• A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Forklift experience a plus / Must be trainable on forklift.
• Crane experience a plus / Must be trainable on crane.
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Some knowledge of a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Understands and follows safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
• Employs a range of crating and packaging resources, including metal bands and protective coverings, to ensure parts are securely fastened and safeguarded during transport.
• Proficient in operating forklifts and other lifting equipment.
• Responsible for each lift, deciding when to check actual vs maximum allowable trailer load.
• Assists with inventory counts as required
• Maintains practices for continuous improvement within the work area.
• Utilize scanning equipment
• Inspect work visually for defects according to Quality Systems
• Provide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste
• Willing/able to work overtime
• Ability read, write, and follow posted schedules
• May be assigned other projects or tasks by the team leader
