Job summary

Kane's Furniture Distribution Center is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to operate forklifts and order selection equipment in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on loading, unloading, and picking furniture with strong attention to safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates will have experience with forklift operations and order selection machines, be comfortable with heavy lifting, and support receiving, shipping, and client pickup tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior shipping, receiving, and inventory control experience is highly desired.
• Prior experience with forklift (sit or stand-up operation) and/or order selection machine is highly preferred.
• This position requires physical strength including lifting, bending, and long periods of standing.
• Ability to read transfer paperwork and operate a scan gun with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Unload and/or load merchandise from transfer trucks or trailers (Receiving).
• Select product and load onto lifts, prepare for delivery (Shipping).
• Verify transfer paperwork for correct number of pieces and accuracy.
• Ensure goods are packaged, labeled and tagged before transfer; move materials to storage areas.
• Identify, track and resolve errors or discrepancies; assist with customer pick-up orders as needed.
• Adhere to warehouse safety practices and work well in a team environment.
