Job summary

Kane's Furniture Distribution Center is seeking a Forklift/Order Selection Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (Tue-Sat 12:00pm-8:30pm). This role moves furniture within a fast-paced warehouse, operating forklift and order selection equipment with accuracy and safety.

Applicants should have prior shipping/receiving or inventory experience, be able to lift 100 lbs, read reports, and use a scan gun. A drug test and background check are required; Kane's is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Prior shipping/receiving/inventory control experience preferred
• Experience with forklift (sit or stand-up) and/or order selection machine preferred
• Must be able to lift heavy items (100+ lbs) and perform physical tasks
• Proficient in operating a scan gun and reading reports
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Able to work at heights with safety harness
• Background check and drug screening required

Responsibilities

• Unload and load merchandise from the transfer truck or trailer (Receiving).
• Select product and load onto lifts and prepare for delivery (Shipping).
• Check transfer paperwork for correct number of pieces.
• Ensure goods are packaged, labeled and tagged before transfer.
• Move materials and finished goods to storage areas or other designated areas.
• Identify, track and resolve errors or discrepancies.
• May load purchases into customer vehicles with verification procedures.
• Adhere to warehouse safety practices.
• Assist clients with pick-up orders.
