Johnson Controls, Inc. in Lubbock, TX is seeking an Order Picker to read incoming orders and select items from warehouse shelves for delivery. The role requires forklift experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as requested.

Responsibilities include updating inventory counts, using barcodes to locate items, shrink-wrapping products, and loading them into delivery vehicles while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualificações

• Read and write in English; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with sit-down/stand-up forklifts and cherry-picker forklifts.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Preferred ERP JD Edwards and inventory management knowledge.

What you will do

As an Order Picker, or Picker Packer, you will be responsible for reading incoming orders and selecting the correct items from the warehouse shelves before staging them for delivery. The duties include operating forklifts and other heavy machinery, updating inventory counts and counting out the appropriate number of goods to fulfill and order.

How you will do it

• Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collect order notes to fulfill deliveries.
• Pick out ordered items from storage shelves or rooms using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
• Securely shrink-wrap items before placing them in envelopes or boxes.
• Operate handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations.
• Load items into delivery vehicles.
• Update stock inventory after each item is retrieved.
• Manage stock control including item replenishment and storage.
• Perform other general warehouse duties as necessary.

What we look for

Required:

• Ability to read and write in the Englishlanguage
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift Certified (Minimum 1 year)
• Prior experience with standard sit-down, stand up Forklift
• Prior experience using a cherry-picker forklift
• Must have good attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards)
• Experience/Knowledge of inventory management

Hiring Hourly Range

$18.00 - $20.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
