ACARA SOLUTIONS is seeking a Forklift Warehouse Worker 1 for our client in Grand Prairie, TX.

Rate: $20.63/hr.

Shifts:

1. 1st: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm
2. 2nd: Mon-Fri 3:00pm-11:30pm (+$0.70/hr. shift differential)
3. 3rd: Sun-Thurs 11:00pm-7:00am (+$0.85/hr. shift differential)

This is a temp-to-perm position at a Union Site with a 4-month conversion period. Excellent benefits and OT are available! Currently, there is no vaccine mandate at this facility.

Responsibilities:

• Move freight, stock, or other materials using hand, forklift, crane, or pallet jack.
• Utilize basic computer skills and mechanical/measuring tools.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy materials.
• Access warehouse areas as needed with mobility and dexterity.
• Read transfer orders and instructions for work assignments.
• Verify contents received or shipped against documents.
• Operate storage equipment, towers, and carousels.
• Pack, seal, and label products/materials for shipping.
• Weigh materials using scales or other devices.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to resolve issues.
• Perform forklift maintenance checks.
• Assist with minor assembly tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment and work area.
• Work indoors and outdoors, wearing safety equipment as required.

Job Requirements:

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of Materials Handling experience with forklift operation.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Forklift certification.
• Experience handling heavy bulk materials (e.g., pallets of refrigerators, steel beams, cars).
• Proficiency in English for safety and communication.
• Experience with stand-up forklifts preferred.
