La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Newton, MS is seeking a Forklift Operator/Yard Dog Driver responsible for receiving, delivering and stocking materials campus-wide using PIV equipment or manual transport. The role uses scanners and tablets to manage inventory and support assembly needs with focus on accuracy and safety.

This full-time position offers 40 hours weekly, with 401(k) matching, health benefits, paid holidays, and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Basic math knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to scan effectively to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Maintain PIV license as needed.
• Able to meet performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates various forms of PIV equipment to receive, deliver and store supplies
• Obtains work order to determine parts needed and delivery location
• Retrieves sub-assemblies and parts from storage locations
• Loads carts with required parts
• Stages completed carts in designated location
• Uses a scanner and/or tablet to manage transactions, transfer parts, perform inventory inquiries, maintenance counts, report outages
• Returns unused parts, empty containers, empty carts to designated storage/replenishment location
• Moves completed assemblies or boxed furniture into designated locations
• Follows health and safety standards.
• Maintains a clean workplace following 5S standards
• Performs other tasks as assigned
