Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a materials handler to pick up, deliver and stock supplies across the campus using PIV equipment or manual transport. You will ensure inventory accuracy and timely availability for assembly, utilizing scanners, PCs and tablets.

The role requires basic reading, writing and math skills, familiarity with inventory systems, and the ability to operate a PIV license as needed. This is a 40-hour-per-week position with benefits and a focus on safety and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties.
• Basic reading and writing skills; basic math knowledge.
• Ability to scan effectively to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Maintain PIV license as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate various forms of PIV equipment to receive, deliver and store supplies.

• Retrieve sub-assemblies and parts from storage locations.
• Load carts with required parts.
• Stage completed carts in designated location.
• Use a scanner/tablet to manage transactions and inventory inquiries.
• Return unused parts and containers to storage/replenishment location.
• Move completed assemblies or boxed furniture to designated locations.
• Follow health and safety standards and 5S practices.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the pick-up, delivery and stocking of various materials throughout the campus using PIV equipment or manual transportation. Various forms of technology are used including but not limited to scanners, PC and tablets. The objective of the position is to ensure that all areas have the appropriate supplies needed for assembly at the proper time, while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Job Description

• Stages completed carts in designated location
• Uses a scanner and/or tablet to manage transactions, transfer parts, perform inventory inquiries, maintenance counts, report outages
• Returns unused parts, empty containers, empty carts to designated storage/replenishment location
• Moves completed assemblies or boxed furniture into designated locations
• Follows health and safety standards.
• Maintains a clean workplace following 5S standards
• Performs other tasks as assigned
