McGrath in Arcade, GA is seeking a Yard Assistant/Forklift Operator to manage yard movements, operate tugger and forklifts, and support crews with tires, axles, and material handling. You will document equipment locations, assist with inventory, and ensure safety procedures are followed in a hands-on, outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outside in variable weather conditions.
• Must follow spoken and written instructions.
• Strong communication with staff and customers as needed.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Safety policies and procedures compliance.
• Overtime availability as needed.
• Prior related work experience required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Possess and maintain current forklift certification.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to sustain physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Operate tugger and other equipment to move and retrieve modular buildings, containers, tanks and large, heavy equipment in the yard.
• Operate forklift to stack and retrieve supplies and materials within the warehouse.
• Occasionally deliver materials to job sites using company vehicle.
• Assist yard crew with changing tires and axles on modular buildings.
• Assist with inventory accuracy in the warehouse.
• Document location of equipment and communicate location to office staff.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order and document inspections; report discrepancies.
• Maintain daily inspection logs and schedule periodic maintenance.
• Follow established guidelines to perform job functions.
• Fill and deliver material vouchers to production crews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
