Ryder System, Inc. in Plainfield, IL is seeking a permanent, full-time Warehouse Material Handler to support our facility and operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts. The role emphasizes safety and efficient material handling in a state-of-the-art environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Punctual with good attendance record.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, loading and unloading.
• Deal with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour.
