Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Wilmington is hiring a Material Handler to join a fast-paced warehouse team. The role encompasses forklift operation, loading, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory tasks with weekly pay and a strong benefits package.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, plus a 3% raise after one year. Shifts include A Shift with early hours; you’ll work with food products using RF scanners and electric sit-down forklifts while maintaining safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Able to lift and push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping and receiving.
• Operate forklift and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Audit and stage products, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse setting.
• Support maintenance of the automated packing systems during shifts.
