Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Material Handler in Wilmington, Illinois. The role offers $21.00 per hour with weekly pay and benefits in a clean, well‑run facility. You will operate electric sit‑down forklifts, reach trucks, and RF scanners, performing loading, packing, shipping, and cycle counting, with ongoing training and a strong emphasis on safety. The position supports distribution across the US and promotes growth within the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Able to lift and push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods; able to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during the core shift hour.
