Job description

Position Title: Forklift Operator / Warehouse Team Member

Wage: $17/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6am-4:30pm (Monday-Thursday)

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Forklift Operator / Warehouse Team Member for a company in Waverly, IA. This is an associate-to-hire role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Manually pick ingredients for orders and weigh the product to the desired amount.
2. Palletize all ingredients needed for an order and deliver by pallet jack to the work station.
3. Pour ingredients into machines to be blended and filled into bags.
4. Palletize bags of product (up to 50 lbs at chest height).
5. Clean up the working station using a portable hose filled with soap and water.
6. Pick ingredients according to production batch sheet.
7. Weigh ingredients accurately.
8. Mix and blend ingredients following safety instructions.
9. Handle equipment for mixing/blending safely and according to requirements.
10. Handle all raw materials hygienically and in a food-safe manner (opening containers, weighing, pouring, closing containers).
11. Pack out product in correct packaging types.
12. Keep detailed records of all tasks.
13. Clean and sanitize equipment and production room according to procedures and safety requirements.
14. Maintain detailed records of cleaning and sanitation.

Requirements:

1. Ability to handle heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs.
2. Ability to stand and work for most of the day.
3. Ability to operate a forklift safely.
