Job summary

Adecco in Oakdale, CA is seeking a Warehouse Receiver to unload, verify, and route incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality of received goods.

Responsibilities include inspecting for damage, recording in the inventory system, labeling and storing items, and rotating stock by FIFO while adhering to food-safety and OSHA policies. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work weekends with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous receiving, warehouse, inventory, or food-distribution experience preferred.
• Experience reading purchase orders and shipping documents preferred.
• Stand-up forklift or electric pallet-jack experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to count, inspect, and document products accurately.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated and temperature-controlled environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse work.
• Must be available to work weekends, overtime, and possible split days off.
• Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments safely and efficiently.
• Compare products and quantities against purchase orders, bills of lading, and receiving documents.
• Inspect products for damage, contamination, temperature concerns, or incorrect quantities.
• Record received products accurately in the inventory system.
• Label, stage, and put away products in assigned warehouse locations.
• Rotate food products according to FIFO and expiration-date procedures.
• Report shortages, overages, damages, and other discrepancies immediately.
• Operate pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts as assigned.
• Maintain organized receiving docks, aisles, and storage areas.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, OSHA, and warehouse safety procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties when needed.
