Qualifications

• General knowledge of forklift operation and material handling.
• Ability to gain Training Certification/Operator Permit for forklift as defined by company standards.
• Basic math skills as defined by company standards.
• Ability to read and write legibly as defined by company standards.
• Understanding of Basic Processes.
• Ability to gain knowledge of company products and company quality procedures.
• Regularly sit, stand, walk, see, hear, reach, bend, twist, push, pull and occasionally lift or move objects up to 51 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift.
• General efficiency of providing the materials to the various lines they are working.
• Loading and unloading trucks, trailers or carriers.
• Placement of finished product and/or materials/inventory.
• Rearrange Kan-Ban materials monthly to ensure oldest materials are used first.
• Verify at the beginning of the shift that the forklift is in good working order, including daily maintenance.
• Verify that all materials being moved are properly labeled and/or placed in designated, labeled areas.
• Any additional duties that are inherent to this position.
