Job summary

Jost International in Grand Haven, MI seeks a dependable Forklift Operator to move materials within warehouse and production areas and support receiving and shipping tasks. You will manage material placement, perform daily forklift checks, and ensure accurate labeling and storage of stock.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, Kan-Ban material rearrangement, and adherence to safety and quality procedures. Training and certification will be provided as required.

Qualifications

• General forklift operation and material handling knowledge required.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification/training as per company standards.
• Basic math skills and ability to read/write clearly per company norms.
• Understanding of basic processes and product knowledge for quality control.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move materials in warehouse/production areas.
• Support loading/unloading of trucks, trailers, or carriers.
• Place finished products and materials in designated inventory areas.
• Rearrange Kan-Ban materials monthly to ensure oldest stock is used first.
• Verify forklift is in good working order at start of shift, including daily maintenance.
• Ensure materials moved are properly labeled and stored correctly.
• Perform other duties as assigned and related to the position.
