Job summary

Wavepoint is seeking a reliable Material Handler to operate forklifts and move goods within our Erie warehouse. You will inspect inbound/outbound shipments, verify quantities, and assist with packing and staging to ensure accurate orders and timely restocking.

The role requires forklift experience, physical stamina, and the ability to read and follow safety guidelines. We offer weekly pay, health benefits, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience is required.
• Safe driving operations proficiency.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in handling materials.
• Ability to stand 4–8 hours daily and perform walking.
• Ability to lift 10–60 lbs, overhead as needed.
• Ability to push/pull loads safely.
• Climbing/balancing while moving around docks and equipment.
• Flexibility to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as required.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Basic problem-solving skills for on-site tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trailers and inbound materials for damage and infestation; report to supervision.
• Verify quantities, lot numbers, and production codes against manifests; report discrepancies.
• Unload inbound trailer shipments safely and efficiently.
• Move products to designated storage locations.
• Prepare and pick products ensuring correct locations and quantities.
• Perform picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
• Inspect outbound materials for damage; report issues.
• Move products from staging to trailers safely.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records to ensure inventory control and security.
• Ensure proper stock rotation.
