Job summary

AKHIRE, INC is recruiting for a Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate in Fairbanks, AK. This full-time role involves operating a forklift to offload products and organizing the yard for loading onto outgoing trucks.

Shifts run 8 AM–5 PM or 5 AM–4:30 PM, with overtime possible at $22/hour DOE. Responsibilities include loading/unloading various vehicles, marking freight, moving items within the yard, completing paperwork, and assisting customers while strictly following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to push or pull heavy loads up to 200 pounds.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors for the majority of the day.
• Drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles such as trucks, vans, flat beds trucks, box trucks or tractor-trailers.
• Mark incoming freight appropriately.
• Move freight around yard and warehouse using a forklift or other moving equipment.
• Complete freight paperwork accurately and timely.
• Ensure that freight is loaded, unloaded, palatalized and marked appropriately.
• Assist customers as necessary.
• Consistently follow all safety procedures and attend safety meetings.

Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate

Full-time

Shift: Two shift available 8 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday or 5am - 4:30 PM M-F

Pay $22 per hour DOE plus overtime

Summary: Warehouse Associate

Warehouse Associate position spends most of the day using a forklift to offload product, and organize the outside yard to be loading on the outgoing trucks.

Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Associate

Requirements

Certificates/Licenses:

• Forklift Certification preferred but not required
  

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Must be able to push or pull heavy loads (up to 200 pounds)

• Must be able to operate all equipment in a warehouse which may include grasping, climbing, bending, handling, reaching, hand dexterity, feeling/touching and repetitive motions of the hands and feet
