Job summary

Clayton Homes (New) is seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver to support receiving, production, and shipping operations. You will move cabinet materials, scan and pull products, and assist with keeping work areas organized and safe.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to safety procedures in an outdoor, fast-paced environment. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow within Clayton Supply and related units.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.
  • 90% of work to be performed outdoors subject to weather, noise, and dust.
  • Ability to read, write, and do basic mathematics.
  • Able to bend and stand, or sit for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Systemically scan and pull products to prepare for shipment.
  • Move cabinet material and other items from storage to work areas and vice versa.
  • Perform routine maintenance on forklifts as required by procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of storage areas as assigned.
  • Maintain inventory records as required.
  • Follow safety rules and procedures; coordinate with saw operators and production management.
  • Perform additional duties as required by management.

TITLE: Forklift Driver
REPORTS TO: Assistant Production Manager
SUPERVISES: N/A
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

Teamwork oriented employee responsible for the movement of materials in receiving, production and shipping as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND DAILY TASKS
  • Systemically scan and physically pull products to prepare for shipment.
  • Moves cabinet material, and any material from storage to work areas and vice versa.
  • Preforms routine maintenance on forklift as required by established procedures.
  • Maintains cleanliness of storage areas as assigned.
  • Maintains inventory records as required.
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedure.
  • Coordinates with saw operators, and production management.
  • Performs other duties as required by management.
