Job summary

Millenniumsoft, Inc in Four Oaks, NC is seeking a Forklift Operator for a 12-month contract to safely move goods within a distribution center. This role requires handling palletized products, unloading and loading, and maintaining inventory accuracy with RF scanners and WMS. First shift, 40 hours/week, 6:00 a.m.

to 2:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Must have a HS diploma or GED (or 1 year of experience), the ability to obtain forklift certification quickly, and capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience required in lieu of diploma.
• Intermediate experience with high reach or counterbalance forklift.
• Experience with Manhattan WMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move products safely within the distribution center.
• Transport palletized products and perform unloads/loads.
• Operate MHE including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack.
• Use RF scanner and WMS to track inventory and ensure accuracy.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Cross-train and provide backup support when required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate movement of products within the distribution center.
• Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload, put away double deep, bulk and full pallet pick, load, replenishment)
• Operate material handling equipment, including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker.
• Use RF Scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site. Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks.
• Follow site safety procedures, including required PPE (safety vest, safety shoes).
• Cross train and become knowledgeable in other areas. Provide backup support when required.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience, required in lieu of High School Diploma or GED.
• Intermediate experience with either a high reach or counterbalance required.
• Experience with Manhattan WMS, preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to obtain a forklift certification within 2 days of employment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English.
• Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner.
• Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
• General distribution knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong initiative and drive for results.

• The noise level is moderate to loud. There will almost always be exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, exposure to precarious situations.
• Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes/airborne particles.
