Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) in Jamestown, NC invites applications for a part-time or full-time instructor to teach Forklift Operator courses. The role focuses on equipping students with occupation-specific and employability skills for workplace success.

Under general supervision, the instructor will prepare lessons, deliver instruction day/evening/weekend, manage classroom and lab spaces, and support student success through engaging teaching and timely feedback.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field is required.
• Forklift Operator Trainer certification from NSC/OSHA/NC DOL/SHCNC/NC IES; Train the Trainer certification from employer considered.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology, Logistics, Engineering, Machining, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years in logistics or related field; at least three years supervisory experience.
• Experience training and evaluating powered industrial truck operators; proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Teaching forklift operator courses and related logistics topics.
• Maintain course materials and student records.
• Support college administrative requirements and ensure compliance.
• Promote student success and employability skills.
• Provide teaching flexibility for day, evening, and weekend hours.
