Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a Warehouseperson to perform shipping and receiving duties in a manufacturing facility. The role requires weekend work and daily use of forklift equipment. You will be responsible for accurate inbound documentation and safe operation of equipment.

You will rotate stock using FIFO, maintain a clean, organized workspace, and collaborate with production teams. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required to apply.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation knowledge and warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO formats preferred.
• AS400 Prism knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift in a safe and responsible manner.
• Documents safety checks on tow motor prior to use.
• Ensures accurate documentation of all inbound paperwork.
• Completes activity movement sheets daily.
• Rotates stock in a FIFO format.
• Selects the proper product for production needs.
• Maintains a clean work environment daily.
• Maintains and operates the RF terminals daily.
• Works closely with the production departments.
• Maintains open communication between fellow workers.
• Reports any product or property damage to supervisor.

Requirements

• Experienced forklift operation knowledge, perishable and dry goods warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of computer software, inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO systems formats preferred.
• AS400 Prism knowledge a plus.

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
