Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Lansing, Michigan is hiring Forklift Operators and Material Handlers to join a safety-focused warehouse team with weekly pay and excellent benefits. You will work on a third shift handling automotive parts with sit-down forklifts and stand-up tugger equipment.

Responsibilities include loading, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting, with additional duties handling paperwork and supporting automated packing systems. Safety and teamwork are emphasized throughout.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work varying shifts.
• Detail oriented with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accuracy in picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during production shift.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
