Job summary

Ryder is hiring Forklift Operators and Material Handlers in Lansing, Michigan to join a safety‑driven distribution team. Expect weekly pay, paid training, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company matching.

Roles include sit‑down forklift and stand‑up Tugger operation across automotive parts handling. The schedule features a third shift (Sun–Thu, 10:30 PM–7:00 AM) with overtime and occasional Fridays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Perform duties in line with contract performance and other duties as assigned.
