Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Forklift Operator for a temporary-to-permanent role. You will work on the 1st shift, 6:00am to 2:30pm, handling loading, picking, packing, and shipping in a clean warehouse environment with RF scanners and stand-up reach trucks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing system during production shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
